Mark Joseph Runge Served in the Regular Army from 1988-1994, when he earned an Honorable discharge. His main duty station was Ft. Lewis, WA, where he supported the 2nd of the 75th Ranger Battalion and the 1st Special Forces Group as an infantry soldier and Track Vehicle Mechanic. During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Mark's task force was attached to the 5th Combat Engineer Group, Heavy. Currently, Mark teaches Upper Division art at Shorecrest Preparatory School, which is located in his current hometown of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. Mark earned his Masters of Fine Art from the University of South FL in 2004. His army citations are the following: Army Achievement Medal with three Silver Oak Leaf Clusters, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal, SW Asia Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars.
